Boomer Rock Trivia – November 24

Friday, November 24th, 2006

Ok, so it’s been a while… busy busy busy getting ready for a December 1 gig followed by a day in the recording studio….

The last answer… the Canadian bass player Geddy Lee played with Rush… seems to me they had a good song or two ;-)

Speaking of Canadians… this is a two parter, a Canadian rocker wrote a song about a Caribbean girl…  maybe his wife understood, maybe she didn’t… oh, well….

Who was the songwriter and what was the name of the song….

Put your answer in a post….

Alvin Lee of Ten Years After was the guy who said “I’m Going Home… by helicopter” while introducing the song Goin’ Home.

Speaking of Lees, (and we don’t mean Pamela Anderson’s husband)… a few years after Woodstock, a Canadian bass player named Geddy Lee hit it big with which band?

Answer for November 2…

Eric Clapton did not die in a plane crash… as far as we know… Eric Clapton is still alive and pickin’

Technically, SRV didn’t die in a plane crash either…  it was a helicopter…

Speaking of helicopters, who said “I’m Going Home… by helicopter” at Woodstock in 1969?

Didja all have a good SCARY Halloween?

The answer to the dead guy question on October 25 is JIM MORRISON, born in Melbourne… not Australia… Florida!

Hard to imagine that Indiana Jones was Jim Morrison’s stagehand… oh, well…

New question…  still in the dead guy mood.

Which of the following did NOT die in a plane crash?

  • Buddy Holly
  • Stevie Ray Vaughn
  • Eric Clapton
  • Jim Croce
  • JP Richardson
