Boomer Rock Trivia – April 14

Cool, Holly nailed the answer for the “Led Zeppelin Tour”… the Rolling Stones, drummer Charlie Watts. Wanna know why? Check out the comments on the April 3 Post.

Still nobody’s right on the Mosrite guitar question. Boomer is issuing a personal challenge to Guitarosaurus Dave, Stratosaurus Ronnie, or Pete Fenner in Houston Texas to answer this one. I’ll give out a REALLY BIG HINT! Ok TWO really big hints… One… these guys didn’t sing… two, the album kind of set the scene and the model for the series of AIRPORT movie sequels… the name of earlier album followed by the release year of the newer one…

C’mon guys… I know you can do it!

Today’s question… back to the Rollin’ Uglies… How old was Mick Jagger at the opening show of the Tattoo You tour? Extra points if you can name the Date, City and Stadium.

  1. Holly says:

Yes, I’ve noticed how Charlie Watts’ meter flips over at 60 minutes. Well, more like 55 minutes these days…

Is it true that there was a time when stagehands had to wire the drumsticks into Ginger Baker’s hands when he was too addled by drugs to hold onto them properly? It’s probably an apocryphal story…but I like to think it’s true. Just because.

    Hiya Holly,

When I saw Cream at the Family Dog in Denver… fall of 67 I think… it looked like his hands were pretty well duct taped. I thought then it might be for blisters, but who knows. Maybe somebody out there can tell us for sure…
