All speculations on Mick Jagger's age are subject to negotiation, as I understand it.

BTW, I'm doing a whole month of British Invasion tunes on my blog. Perfect for music fans of a certain age....

Hiya Holly,

When I saw Cream at the Family Dog in Denver... fall of 67 I think... it looked like his hands were pretty well duct taped. I thought then it might be for blisters, but who knows. Maybe somebody out there can tell us for sure...

Yes, I've noticed how Charlie Watts' meter flips over at 60 minutes. Well, more like 55 minutes these days...

Is it true that there was a time when stagehands had to wire the drumsticks into Ginger Baker's hands when he was too addled by drugs to hold onto them properly? It's probably an apocryphal story...but I like to think it's true. Just because.

You got it! Charlie Watts called the tour the Led Zeppelin tour, because it was the first time they had to play an hour-and-a-half set. Charlie's specific quote "I blame it on Jimmy Page. Led Zeppelin had come to the United States and would do a twenty minute drum solo and endless guitar solos..." (from "According to the Rolling Stones" pg 142)

Unfortunately, 1969 was also the year for Brian Jones death and the horrible Altamont concert debacle.

Five ugliest guys in the world? Must be the Rolling Stones. :D But why Charlie Watts would have called that tour the Led Zeppelin tour, I have no idea.

OK Rhonda Sue.... you get half-credit on this one, plus extra points for the research....

Bonie Maronie was indeed WRITTEN by Larry Williams

Bonie Maronie DID appear on "The Very Best of Richie Valens" but...

it did NOT appear on "Richie Valens Greatest Hits (Del Fi 1959) which was the original question.
